Parents Prayer
SYMBOLIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER
Beloved child, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.
I Corinthians 15:58
Lord, this child you have given me is truly a gift and I give you thanks for entrusting this child to me. I ask for your guidance as I guide this one. Remind me to come to you daily for instructions before I give instructions. Help me to always listen as You listen to me.
Lord, I ask that you send your angels to stand guard and protect this one from evil, keeping him/her healthy and safe. I know this child is going to make mistakes along the way, so I ask that he/she get caught early. I don’t want my child to get comfortable in any kind of sin.
Lord, please look after and protect my child’s future mate. I want the best you have planned for them. Help me to know when it is time to let go and not interfere when you are correcting and teaching them.
But Lord, the most important thing I ask for my child is that he/she come to know you personally. I pray my child seeks you and your righteousness. Please, cover this one with your love, mercy, and grace.
But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:14 NIV
