As a lamp burns, it provides light, and as one gains knowledge, light is given to what was once dark. The lamp of Biblical knowledge needs to burn bright in our world, and this knowledge comes from reading the Word of God. Many are lost in spiritual darkness. The Word of God does more than teach us how to survive in this world it gives direction to faith in Jesus Christ, and directs the path to eternal life in heaven.

 "...Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
