SYMBOLIZES THE BODY OF CHRIST

 But in case I am delayed, I write so that you may know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.

A church is the place where a body of believers are joined together to carry out the work of Christ Jesus. Together they celebrate the life of Christ by believing in the hope and truth of His return.

 "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst."

Matthew 18:20 NAS

A church is to be a lighthouse for the community. Shining its light that others may be drawn to it. A church should conduct itself in a manner that honors God, and does not defile the name of Christ.

For the body is not one member, but many. But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
