Ark, Noah’s
SYMBOLIZES FAITH AND GRACE
"And Behold, I, even I, am bringing the flood of waters upon the earth, everything that is on the earth shall perish."
Genesis 6:17 NAS
According to scripture the ark’s dimensions would have been approximately 450 feet long, the size of one and a half football fields. It would have been over four stories high, and the bottom would have been flat. In Hebrew the name "ark" translates as "box." (Genesis 6:15-16)
God showed grace to Noah and his family by instructing them to build the ark. God intended the ark to be a means of deliverance to preserve human and animal life on the earth during the great flood.
Then the LORD said to Noah, "Enter the ark, you and all your household for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time."
Genesis 7:1 NAS
